He watched her run off and stopped. He wasn't going to follow her. He didn't /want/ to follow her. Why should he care that a simple minded girl was running off in search of someone? He didn't really. He just wanted to help her, but it seemed both of them had better things to do. He shrugged and turned back to those behind him. He reached out grabbing at the air, as metal formed between his fingers, rising from the ground and formed a sword as more metal flowed upwards. It slowly created a curved blade, and a cheshire smile spread across the man's lips.

Forgetting his promise to himself, he got rid of his worries. He only lived once after all and threw himself into the carnage. The girl was on her own.

Lia kept going and never looked back. She only moved forward and away from the slow carnage that was building up in the area. The town would no longer be safe with a fight so close like this. Her friend could handle himself or at least she hoped. Forgoing staying in the town any longer, she left back towards where she originally came from and out of the area. Maybe one day she'd find her friend, but today wasn't it.

~

It had been some time since the fighting and her latest failed attempt to find her friend. She stayed hidden away for the most part and waited for the next note she may receive from him. It was always hard trying to meet up and sometimes she worried too much about him, but he was her only true friend. She wanted to make sure he was safe. However, her Lord dis have a point. It was foolish for her to run into an army looking for a friend and with so many guys... The girl shuttered at the very thought of what could even happen.

She rubbed her hands together and as she tried to warm herself up. Her fire had died during the night. All that was left was the embers still smoking. She kicked over some dirt to kill the fire once and for all before gathering up her things in her knapsack. The girl threw on her cowl over her head and wrapped herself up in her cape before heading out on the road once more. Maybe she could find some work in one of the villages for the time being.

Razor was in a village near by just enjoying his time without the army. it was his mistress. it was like an addiction he had trouble letting go of. The sounds of battle still rang in his ears from weeks ago. he smiled softly as he swisher his drink around letting the liquid coat the sides of his glass.

"Another round for the boys with me," he told the keeper as he down his glasses smiling to the hoots and hollers of his friends. Ah it had been a good go. thst was for sure.

Lia walked along the road for a long time trying to find where another village had been. It had been quiet for a long time and the occasional passerby would come by. Some offered her a ride but she declined for the most part. She never trusted others or at least most of the men. Even some women she was careful of. One elder woman came by, offering a ride for simple conversation. It had been a long day and she couldn't really refuse anymore. She simply wanted to rest.

The two talked happily. She was happy for the small conversation. The woman filled her in on the village they were heading to and some of the small shops that were set up. It was amusing how happy the woman was for something like this. She was glad she agreed to it. When the two finally stopped in the village, Lia helped with the woman to unload her cart. It was the least she could do for the ride. She carried out some crates, some barrels, etc. until it was unloaded. With a happy goodbye, Lia left to go look around the town. The woman did offer her a room to board for the night and she considered it. For now, she wanted to look around and see if she could find one elsewhere. She didn't want to burden the woman more. She gave her a ride and told her of some local workplaces. She couldn't impose even more.

Lia walked into what seemed like an inn or a bar. She had no idea except for the stretch of liquor. Her nose wrinkled up at the smell remembering some old memories and drew her cloak closer to herself. She went off towards the counter to order something. She wasn't sure what. Lia pulled down her cowl and waited for the keeper or another worker. She didn't listen to the men around her. She just kept to herself and replied to a worker when they came by.

Razor smiled and laughed with a friend but then he smelled a familiar scent. it had been a while since he had smelled that. Why  was it here though? He clicked his tongue as he looked to the bar curious as he spotted her. There she was in all her glory ordering something at the counter. He had figured she would never have appeared in his life again.

He walked over to her and leaned against the counter. "So did you find him or are you going to call me a lier again," he asked her as he grabbed a shot off the table and downed it.

If she had ears she would have flatten them. He was the last person she ever expected to see again and yet here he was. She looked him over now seeing who he was properly rather than how they met before as glanced up at his eyes before glancing away unamused. "And it matters to you why," she asked back evenly as she took a sip of her water.

His presence unsettled her. Didn't help he could tower over her, was a lot bigger than her, and took a shot the second he spoke. "If you really care to know I didn't find him nor do I know where he is. How was the battle?" She looked back at him as she turned her body to face him.

Razor looked at her and shook his head. Here he was just trying to be friendly and she had already gotten defensive. He should've known she'd be like this. She  always seemed so tense he he wasn't sure why. Even when he offered  his help she seemed against it and now she at least seemed calmer.

"The battle went as well as expected" he told her. "I told you he wasn't there... and I've honestly never even heard his name before.. are you sure he is even a demon?:

And there he was insulting her intellegence. She knew who her friend was. That was the premises of a friendship. Did he know that? "Yes I know he's a demon. He's a friend," she replied a bit annoyed but she tried to keep calm. He was her Lord but it still didn't excuse if he was being an ass. She sipped her water as she tried to keep calmer. It was proving harder.

"He's hard to get ahold of... I get messages on ocassion but even still it's hard..." She didn't understand why she was telling him. He didn't need to know but he was trying to talk. She'd give him the benefit of the doubt. She motioned for him to join her on the stool next to her. "Care to sit?"

Razor sat beside her curious as ever what was going on in her mind. Why was she so determined to save this man that seemed to want nothing to do with her. Of course, that was from his point if view. The man seemed to be dodging her at the very least.

"Would he have a reason to need to hide or run?" It was an honest question. By the two it might explain why he was not found yet. Was she using resources or doing this all on her own? "Has anyone else seen him perhaps? A friend of you both?"

Lia sighed unsure how the explain it to a demon who knew nothing of them or even him to begin with. Their relationship was always complicated to say the least but it never made sense why this was how they were. It just was as long as she remembered. Sometimes they met up, othertimes no. Usually he was where he said he was but then again he wasn't at the same time. She never understood the demon but she went with it. He was her friend.

She shook her head no as she played with her cup a bit. "I'm never sure with him. He's... Odd? It's not really something I can tell you easily about. It's not easily to explain. I'll just wait for the next raven or if he tracks me down." She didn't think he'd understand. She looked up as the keeper brought her a soup and set it down. She smiled and thanked them as she pulled it closer to her body and played with the soup instead to cool it off. "So what bring's you to their part of the country?"
