Character's Name:
Abraham Va'yera

Nicknames: Does not like nicknames

Age: 13439 years

Gender: Male

Species: Faith Angel

Abilities:
Empathy. Abraham's strongest magic is likely that which is innate to faith angels; magic dealing with emotions. He can easily read the emotions sitting on the surface of a person's heart, and with a bit more effort, the deeper and more complex feelings. As an extension, he can also tell if a person is lying or not to some extent.

Light. Abraham can manipulate light and bend it to his will to create shields and various manners of barriers, as well as concentrate it into laser-like weapons. He can also use the energy from light to heal a wide range of injuries, though more severe ones will take a significant amount of energy from him. More basic modes of manipulation are also accessible to him, such as creating basic mirages and camouflage. His greatest uses of light magic tie in with his empathy powers, allowing him to support other magic users by sacrificing some of his power to boost theirs in some way, and to a lesser extent he can do the same to boost physical attributes.

Nature. Living things, especially plants, are of special interest to Abraham, and he has spent some time learning magic associated with growing and manipulating plants. He can accelerate their growth, influence the various ways they grow, and can even temporarily grant them some forms of mobility.

True form. Abraham's true form resembles Norak, god of peace and death. He differs from the true god in that he looks like he is made from a bright light, calling to mind a midday sun rather than a starry night.

Appearance:
Abraham is a slight, aged-looking man. He is an unimpressive 5'10ft and 142lbs, not particularly muscular but also not quite out of shape. His skin is a lighter peachy color that always seems to have an otherworldly sort of glow to it, as is common for faith angels. Most of the time, his posture is stellar, and he carries himself in a slow and confident kind of way that gives the impression of authority but also thoughtfulness.

Though angels do not have true elders due to their immortality, Abraham still manages to appear old. His short, neatly combed hair is white, as is the neat, pointy beard, which borders his face. A few noticeable wrinkles line his face, especially around his mouth and eyes. At any point in time, Abraham looks very tired, with various levels of bags under his eyes. Despite this, his eyes are always bright and fierce; his irises are a striking gold that seem to glow in certain light (or lack thereof). His face is long and angular, with a long, sharp nose and longish, pointed ears.

Abraham's wardrobe is full of elegant clothing suited to his royal status, usually silky and flowing fabrics. He wears a lot of white with yellow and gold accents. In particular, he likes long capes and cloaks that cover most of his body. He does not typically wear any kind of jewellery or headwear.

Personality:
Quiet. Abraham spends most of his time in his thoughts and does not usually speak up unless he has something to say. He does not particularly like to be noticed, and mostly keeps to himself and does not draw attention unless necessary. When he does talk or act, he is quiet and deliberate, short and to the point. Being even a little excessive in any fashion is a foreign concept to him; even formal letters penned by him are extremely brief.

Compassionate. Though his reserved nature can often make it hard to tell, Abraham is a very kind and caring man. He is especially fond of children and enjoys spending time with them, often more so than with adults, but he wants the best for all life, and wants to do his part to improve the lives of as many beings as he can. It can be difficult for him to express this directly, so it is usually most evident in his acts of kindness and charity.

Curious. Abraham enjoys observing things and is content to sit and watch and learn about just about anything, especially forms of life, particularly plants and people. It is easy to spark his interest in subjects he is not familiar with, and upon learning about something new, he will often go and research more on the topic.

Asocial. Or, perhaps, socially awkward is a better way to describe it. Abraham is not the best person to have a conversation with, mostly because he does not like to talk, and also because he is not good at knowing what to say or do during any kind of social interaction. His empathy is partly at fault for this, because he can learn a person's feelings on anything just by reading them, and so does not need to discuss such things. He also simply prefers to either be alone or just be an observer.

History:
Abraham was born into the angel house of faith as a third generation angel and poised to be the third ruler of the house. He was the first born to his mother, Lark, whom was the monarch at the time. His childhood was fairly busy, as he had been born in the middle of efforts to rebuild after the corrupt gods first attempted conquest. Lark was often away, and Abraham was tasked with studying, learning the world's history and starting his specializations in magic so that he would be prepared if any similar disaster occurred again. In his adolescence and young adulthood, he more often accompanied his mother in restoration efforts and learned more about the world in doing so.

The next several hundred years were a lot of the same, with Abraham's focusing on studying, rebuilding, and otherwise attending to his duties as crown prince. It was some time after most of the restoration had been completed and the corrupt gods had reformed, that his life took a different turn. A scuffle between the faith angels and the war demons accelerated drastically, resulting in the death of Lark and catapulting Abraham into the role of monarch.

As king, Abraham has tried to focus mainly on improving the lives of his people where he can, with minimal efforts given to foreign affairs. Where he has had no choice but to participate in the war, he has been very careful and mostly responsive, refusing to make first moves or take ground; his tactics are defensive and avoidant, but not compromising. He does not usually take part in battle himself, instead acting as a strong strategist for his troops, or using his magic to buff them from the back lines. These methods have so far kept him from meeting a fate similar to his mother.

Over the many thousands of years, his reputation has been fairly decent. He has established himself as a caring king that provides for his people and listens to them, and stands for the things faith angels should. However, his carefulness in regards to the war may be seen as cowardly or lacking the ambition a commander needs to strengthen the kingdom.
