The man nodded as he took the money from the Lord. Always more than enough whenever he came by. It was one of the small perks, but with the presence of the royal family, he knew of the unrest that would soon follow in town. At least the pair were happy and he was able to find a pet that worked with the Lord's specifications. Out of all the foxes, the child found one that perfectly matched his father's wishes. It amazed him, but he didn't question it. He was familiar with all the animals here, knowing how each would be. That one would be good for them. He'd be a good pet for the child.
The boy hugged his new friend who didn't seem to mind to extra attention. Other kits still tried to come near, but got a few warning growls from the one Vion now owned, but some still managed to sneak a bit of the child's affection. He didn't want to leave this place with all the fun creatures around, but he would be a good boy and listen to dad. "Okay Daddy," he replied as he looked down at the new pet. "Come on. We're going home." Vion got up off the ground carrying his fluffy fox as he went to join his father once more. The fox gave the boy no trouble, though eyed the Lord warily. He wanted to growl, but felt as if he shouldn't so the fox stayed quiet as he pressed into his new owner.
