"Why do you think I will leave you," he said looking at his little boy confused. His brow furrowed as he gently stroked the side of his head trying to calm him. "I will never leave you....Never. My mother left me only because the angels took her away... My father then was killed by his...." He cut off not really wanting to get into it. It was clear he didn't really like thinking about his parents, but he loved them. It was clear in his eyes. He missed them. True his father had not been as big of a force as his mother had been, but that was only because his mother was the leader and his father was more of her mate. Everything he had learned, he had from his mother.
He looked upon his innocent child. He didn't want him to ever know what it was like to lose him. That had hurt him deeply when his mother past, his sister's betrayal, and then his father's death. He had been thrust upon the throne at a very young age and never really knew what it was like to grow up because of the tasks given to him. The throne was the only life he really knew. He was trying to give Vion a bit of freedom where he could. "Hey... How about today we go get you a fox?"
