Another day, and still little was accomplished. The thick of the forests held creatures of various forms, each more deadly than the next. From the shadows dwelled a shadow hiding amongst the others. She stayed as hidden as possible through the dark thicket of the death kingdom. Word had reached of a dear friend who had been caught in the most recent war. She had to go and see if he was okay. She tried to stay away from the wars as best she could, but her friend was somehow in them. If he'd had listened to her, then maybe it would not have happened, but either way it did. She just needed to find him. The girl ran through the thicket, listening for the raging sounds of the fighting going on. She hated it and yet she was compelled to move forward. "Where are you..." She whispered to herself as she continued on.
She emerged from the thickest of the forest to a small town off in the distance. With the rate she was going, she should be there soon and could camp out until she knew more about where this war was going or if it was still going on. Besides, she liked traveling at night better. Maybe a small rest wouldn't be so bad. The girl pulled the cowl of her cape up as she proceeded to the town to recharge and stock up on supplies.
