Lia walked along the road for a long time trying to find where another village had been. It had been quiet for a long time and the occasional passerby would come by. Some offered her a ride but she declined for the most part. She never trusted others or at least most of the men. Even some women she was careful of. One elder woman came by, offering a ride for simple conversation. It had been a long day and she couldn't really refuse anymore. She simply wanted to rest.
The two talked happily. She was happy for the small conversation. The woman filled her in on the village they were heading to and some of the small shops that were set up. It was amusing how happy the woman was for something like this. She was glad she agreed to it. When the two finally stopped in the village, Lia helped with the woman to unload her cart. It was the least she could do for the ride. She carried out some crates, some barrels, etc. until it was unloaded. With a happy goodbye, Lia left to go look around the town. The woman did offer her a room to board for the night and she considered it. For now, she wanted to look around and see if she could find one elsewhere. She didn't want to burden the woman more. She gave her a ride and told her of some local workplaces. She couldn't impose even more.
Lia walked into what seemed like an inn or a bar. She had no idea except for the stretch of liquor. Her nose wrinkled up at the smell remembering some old memories and drew her cloak closer to herself. She went off towards the counter to order something. She wasn't sure what. Lia pulled down her cowl and waited for the keeper or another worker. She didn't listen to the men around her. She just kept to herself and replied to a worker when they came by.
