The night life was awaking. This city never slept. It was lively. All the scents in the air so different, but mingled having become natural. It was a place like no other in the world. This town was the center of Antarsia. It was the place everyone came to be alive. It was a place to be free and not worry for persecution or judgement for not being the same species. There was still a bit of wariness between districts but it was one of the few places hybrids and all kinds of species could mix. It was this air, this smell of freedom, that gave this town the sense of life it had. If this town could talk... the stories it would tell. The legends it had seen come and fall over time, and the blood that had gone into making this place a reality. Oh the stories that lay beneath it's very foundation.
This air... it filled the town and him... Oh how it filled the man walking amongst those gathering on the streets. Mages showing off their craft for the young children for a quick coin. Vendors coming out to sell that do now own a shop. It was the darker side of the world. The side many slept through. This was the town that never slept. It was always so full of life. He inhaled deeply and slowly exhaled letting the world come into him, filling his lungs, the air brushing against his tongue as it came back out. He was savoring the very taste of the city.
His silver eyes opened and he looked around as a fire mage twirled a fire stick for young children who clapped before swallowing it. Nearby a woman was asking a man to buy some of her hand crafted items. This was his town. He enjoyed it here. He causally walked among the nightlife listening to the sound of the buildings that were almost empty during the day come to life. Some of which where not friendly for children, while others where of night species. He smiled. What would tonight bring?
