"I'll take today off for you okay," he said as he looked at her smiling softly. It was the best he could offer but it was better then nothing. He was trying to make up for earlier. He wanted everything to be okay again. He gently kissed her again and begun to hold her closer to him trying to comfort him. He wanted to keep her safe for as long as she'd let him.
