RE: Until Silence Is Broken - Andromeda - 12-27-2016 Morion smiled as he stood before her and his father. He dared not touch her. Father had ordered him to be nice. She was a 'guest' after all. He tilted his head, but his hair didn't move like it was suppose to. Instead it did it's own thing, sometimes rising like snakes and seemed to act more like smoke then hair. "Most people are screaming being this close to me," he said amused by her reaction he was seeing. He shrugged his shoulders and went back to his child form. He reached out for Lia's hand but his father smacked his hand away. "No," a single word. An order. He would not touch Lia. Morion looked enraged at this and started to growl, but remembering his place he stopped and bowed his head. He knew better then to challenge father. Just like his appearance, he had the mentality of a child. Never an adult. "I'm hungry...," he whined and Razor pointed for him to walk. The child stalked off looked back at Lia longingly before disappearing down the tunnel they had come down. Razor sighed. "Please forgive him. He cannot help it, but he's harmless for the most part. You have my word he will not harm you," he told her as he held out his hand to guide her around the library and to give her a tour. "Is there anything in particular you want to read for fun or to find your friend?" RE: Until Silence Is Broken - Achera - 12-27-2016 Lia watched the two interacting with each other. It was... Odd. She couldn't tell if he was a child or an adult by the way he acted. For a moment like an adult but then once more a child... Even still as a child she felt something for him. His father was cold to him and yet the child wanted some attention. Did Razor not see it? She had been distracted looking back at Morion as he disappeared. His father ignored him... She didn't really hear Razor much but noticed more is hand as he motioned towards her. Her head looked back towards him and then his hand and then her own; both cradling the book he had given her hours before. She could see her fingers were tinted red from grasping back book so hard. Her grip fell as she loosely held the book once more as she placed a hand in his to let him guide her. She had no idea what to even ask to look at. Her mind was still on his son. "Um.. anything on the different demon species..." she replied glancing back towards where to child disappeared and then back at him. So Razor did know some sort of relationship before? RE: Until Silence Is Broken - Andromeda - 12-27-2016 He nodded and pulled her towards the shelf that she had requested. "Many things are just guesses and theories. Since many people, not even demons know what we are or exactly why we're different from angels," he mumbled to her as he looked up at the massive shelf. He had a massive collection and he had actually read every book in here, but he'd never admit to that in person. He reached up letting go of her hand and pulled down one book for her. "The Change of Time" was the title and then he reached up and grabbed another called "From Blood, Hunger, Chains, to Death" as well. He figured those two would do the best for her. "There are many more but these would be a good starting point for you if that is the information you require. He didn't offer any information on his son. He had no reason to. RE: Until Silence Is Broken - Achera - 12-27-2016 Lia let him drag her around easily towards where she wanted. Her mind still lingered on his son, but she didn't mention it again. She tried to distract herself with the room and the books that were at her disposal. So many to choose from, but thankfully he pulled down a couple for her to start off with. Even better that he was tall enough to reach them without assistance. She took the books he handed her and added it to her own. It was at least a start. Maybe if she understood what he was, then she could understand how he was getting around easier. Especially if he wasn't death... or was he? "Thank you," she said with a small smile on her lips. She took the books and left his side to go place them down at the table. She set aside the one she had before with the notes organized next to it. She glanced at the two other books and picked up the second. She sat down and opened it up to get reading. She needed to know more about the different races... What each one was best at and their attributes. Was he able to move around without detection? Or was he death and that was why she couldn't mind him in the book? Lia didn't pay much more attention to Razor. She had to find out these answers. RE: Until Silence Is Broken - Andromeda - 12-27-2016 "You're welcome," he replied as he leaned back looking at all the books she'd have to go through. There was so much information to go through. He was sure she'd be stuck here a few years before she ever finished all the books in his collection and he was constantly adding more. He didn't dare say these were all his personal books that he had treasured through the years. If he were to turn he'd find one of his first books, but he didn't give it attention. He didn't want to draw attention to it's age or his. All these books were spelled to with stand the years and the test of time. He clicked his tongue. "So what does your friend look like? The one you have been searching so hard for," he asked curious. "What type of demon is he?" He figured he'd make small talk. He did take the day off for her after all. He had made it so he could spend today asking small things. Now that the biggest question was out of the way already. RE: Until Silence Is Broken - Achera - 12-27-2016 Lia had her nose already buried in the book looking for more information. She barely even heard him speak she was so out of it. If it wasn't for the clicking of his tongue, she may not have heard him. She looked up from her book at him and cocked her head little to register the words. Normally he just left her to her bidding. "Dia? Well um... He's kinda hard to miss.. that's what confuses me," she reluctantly admitted knowing better than to try to stall. "He's rather thin, tall, but the most noticeable aspect of him is his hair... It's extremely long, longer than my own and pure white. Someone should have noticed him.. That's what's confusing." She glanced back at the book. Shouldn't there be something in here? "... That's why I asked for this book. Normally you can kinda tell what a demon is but with him... You can't. It seems like maybe famine but then wouldn't he have been in the book you showed me earlier? He's not Death, but I don't know. He never really told me..." She knew how this sounded. It was hard to explain what they were but their friendship wasn't normal. RE: Until Silence Is Broken - Andromeda - 12-27-2016 Razor tilted his head. Angels were often the ones with more lighter hair colors then demons, but demons could still have light hair. His mother had silky white hair until she turned into the first demon. Then her eyes turned red and her hair as dark as the night. "He could be a hybrid... They use to be very uncommon and killed upon sight but lately they have become more popular." It was easy to tell by his tone he wasn't fond of hybrids as most of the older generations were. It was written into their DNA and mindset to detest them at all costs. "Have you considered researching hybrids? Or he could be an angel pretending to be a demon..." RE: Until Silence Is Broken - Achera - 12-27-2016 She hadn't really thought about it until he brought it up. She questioned it a little before but he always seemed like a demon. It wasn't unheard of for them to have white hair or light conplexsures. She herself was overall rather light and fair in comparison to other demons. There was so much she didn't question about him... Maybe she should have all this time. "Can you grab me some books on hybrids and angels please?" She asked innocently. She didn't know this library. It was easier for him to look for it than for her to rummage through them all. Lia looked back at the book she was reading for a moment. She could hear his detestment for hybrids. If Dia was one... Then maybe she couldn't fufill her bargain for fear of what he may do to him. So much she had to find out but now there was a new element in the mix. RE: Until Silence Is Broken - Andromeda - 12-27-2016 He didn't reply to her as he moved away from her and went to a more restricted looking side of the library. It was clear it was a subject that was detested. A subject most wouldn't talk about around him or in his home. She was lucky he had asked her to look into this man or else he might have not been so keen to help her. He reached up and grabbed a book, then another, and finally one more. These were the three that he thought might help her the best out of all of the shelf. He walked back over to her and placed them on the table, but he kept them close to him. Placing them in a row, he waved his hand over them and runes appeared. They had been hidden all over the books .The restricted section really was restricted. If someone had opened the book... well they wouldn't die, but they'd wish they had. The runes went from a glowing white, to red as they slowly disappeared off the books' surface. He then moved them one by one closer to her. "Here," he said. "This is what you asked for." Razor leaned against the desk watching her. She seemed very keen on working... did she even know what she wanted the answers for? It seemed she didn't know a lot about her friend after all. RE: Until Silence Is Broken - Achera - 12-27-2016 Lia watched the books as he laid them out and took away the runes that were on them. These must have been some serious books if he had sealed them away for some reason. He really didn't like the angels. That much she understood. Would he still help her if she knew he was an angel after all or worse, a hybrid? Nothing seemed to be the correct way to approach it, but he did ask what her friend was and she'd find out. Even if it explained why he was untraceable for her own sanity. "Thank you," she replied with a smile as she looked over the books and started to open them in turn to start looking. She'd be here for awhile. Putting aside some of the books and notes, she organized the table to have them all in line. She shifted through the books and would read a section at a time to see which would be more beneficial for her. She paid little mind to Razor who loomed over her. She had a bargain to uphold after all. "Could you please get me some paper and ink? I want to take some notes." |
