Securing Entry with Turnstiles
Security is a rising concern in the world today. From hackers accessing valuable information to intruders threatening the safety of people and property, companies are recognizing the need for better security. To improve the physical security of buildings and facilities, one of the best options is often the use of turnstiles to control employee and visitor access. It is also called Barrier Gate like Flap Barrier Gate, Swing Barrier Gate or Speed Gate.
Benefits of Turnstiles over Doors
The following highlights the advantages of using a turnstile rather than a door, including improved security, effective integration with the facility's access control system and increased operational flexibility.
Improved Security
Turnstiles provide superior access control by both detecting and deterring unauthorized entries. When entering a facility, often the first point of entry is through a door. A common solution to secure the facility is to add a card or biometric reader and electric locks to the door. While a reader and lock requires a valid credential to unlock the door, it cannot control how long the door is open or how many people enter. Unauthorized individuals can follow authorized personnel through the secured door, resulting in a common security issue referred to as "tailgating". Additionally, a door cannot isolate the direction of authorized passage. For instance, if a door is activated for entry, it will not be able to prevent exiting at the same time while it is open.
Unlike doors, turnstiles can limit the number of people who can enter or exit on each presented credential and control the direction of passage. And there are some different types of turnstiles used in different scenes like Tripod Turnstile, Wide Lane Turnstile, Full Height Turnstile and Vertical Tripod Turnstile. In order to enter through a turnstile, a person must first present a valid credential. This signals the barriers to unlock and allow one person to pass before immediately relocking. Some turnstiles have enhanced detection features to recognize and notify of instances such as tailgating, loitering and forced passage. An unauthorized entry attempt will trigger an alarm, notify the user and alert the control center of the conflict.
Access Control Integration
The access control system allows turnstiles to work in conjunction with doors, cameras and other security equipment to ensure only specific cleared individuals are using the entry. It can provide useful information such as the specific identity, time and location of each person who entered and exited the facility. The system displays live data used by management to track visitors, pinpoint alarm locations and identify potential security threats.
When a user presents a credential, the access control system communicates with the turnstile whether or not the credential is valid and if passage is allowed. Once a passage occurs, the turnstile immediately communicates back to the access control system that the passage has occurred. When presented with invalid credentials, the access control system signals the turnstile to notify the user that their credential was not accepted. When an alarm activates at the turnstile, the turnstile and access control system can function in unison to alert security, turn on nearby cameras and lock down the appropriate turnstiles and secondary doors.
Operational Flexibility
Turnstiles enhance facility operations by streamlining the entry process. Turnstiles accommodate a wide array of credential readers, allowing facilities the option of using virtually any type of media to authorize entry, including barcodes, magnetic stripe, proximity cards (RFID/NFC) or biometrics. Readers installed with the turnstiles allow users to present their own credentials to gain entry. The self-validation function lessens the burden on receptionists and security guards, allowing them to focus on their primary job functions instead of having to verify credentials.
Turnstiles can operate in a single direction or bi-directionally. Passage modes are independent for each direction and include free pass, controlled passage or locked down. Free pass mode allows entry without authorization – often used when users are not required to card out to exit. Controlled passage requires a valid credential before permitting entry. Locked down mode remains locked and does not allow entry, even when presented with a valid credential.
Management can schedule specific modes to activate at certain times of the day to meet operational requirements. For example, more turnstiles may be set as entry-only during morning hours when employees are arriving to work, then switched to exit-only in the afternoon when employees are leaving. Turnstiles can also be locked down at night and on weekends when the facility is closed. Turnstile modes are typically set through the access control system or, for more advanced turnstiles, controlled remotely using an application on the facility's network.

A circuit breaker is an electrical safety device designed to protect an electrical circuit from damage caused by an overcurrent or short circuit. Its basic function is to interrupt current flow to protect equipment and to prevent the risk of fire. Unlike a fuse, which operates once and then must be replaced, a circuit breaker can be reset (either manually or automatically) to resume normal operation.
Circuit breakers are made in varying sizes, from small devices that protect low-current circuits or individual household appliances, to large switchgear designed to protect high voltage circuits feeding an entire city. The generic function of a circuit breaker, or fuse, as an automatic means of removing power from a faulty system, is often abbreviated as OCPD (Over Current Protection Device). Also, there are many different types of Smart Circuit Breaker, Ewelink WIFI Circuit Breaker, Tuya WIFI Circuit Breaker, RS485 Circuit Breaker, Remote Control Circuit Breaker, Zigbee Circuit Breaker, Solar Systems Circuit Breaker, Automatic Recloser Circuit Breaker, DC WIFI Circuit Breaker, RS485 DC Circuit Breaker, etc.
Differences amoung overcurrents, overloads and short circuits
Overcurrents
NEC defines and overcurrent as any current in excess of the rated current of equipment of the ampacity of a conductor. An over current is the result of an overload, short circuit, arc or ground fault. Effects of overcurrent include fires, conductor insulation damage and equipment damage.
Overloads
According to NEC, an overload is the operation of equipment in excess of normal, full-load rating, or of a conductor in excess of rated ampacity that, when it persists for a sufficient length of time would cause damage or dangerous overheating. An overload is NOT a short circuit, ground or arc fault.
Short Circuits
A short circuit is an overcurrent which greatly exceeds the normal full load current of the circuit. Also, as the name infers, a short circuit leaves the normal current carrying path of the circuit and takes a short-cut around the load and back to the power source. A short circuit is an overcurrent but not an overload.
Circuit breaker components
Although low and medium voltage circuit breakers have unique designs that are specific to amperage, voltage and application, there are five main components that are universal across the different types of circuit breakers. The five universal circuit breaker components are:
Frame – Protects internal parts of the circuit breaker from outside materials
Operating mechanism – Provides a means of opening and closing the circuit breaker
Contacts – Allows the current to flow through the circuit breaker when closed.
Arc extinguisher – Extinguishes an arc when the circuit breaker interrupts a fault.
Trip unit – Opens the operating mechanism in the event of a prolonged overload or short circuit.

Wood has played an important role in the history of civilization. Humans have used it for fuel, building materials, furniture, paper, tools, weapons, and more. And demand for wood continues to increase annually, spurring conflicts between neighboring states over control of shared resources. Our relationship to this resource has remained relatively unchanged over time, and our methods of developing and managing woodlands continue to rely on tried and true techniques established by early civilizations. So perhaps this is why we take it for granted: wood has long been a part of our lives, and we probably can't really imagine it not being there.
The DIY movement has firmly established itself, particularly when it comes to home improvement. On cable television, HGTV and the DIY Network feature non-stop programming on renovations that cover a range of projects and budgets. A common element in many of the renovations is wood Board. People want it in their homes whether in the form of hardwood floors, high end kitchen cabinets, or a durable table. In my own home, we have a coffee table that we've had for 15 years. The wood bears the marks of the lives that have been lived around it—including a few watermarks since I am terrible about using coasters—and occasionally we talk about replacing it, but we never do. It has character. And it's a solid wooden table—we'd be crazy to give it up. And for that, it is even divided into many different types for different functions, such as Solid Wood Board, Paulownia Wood Board, Construction Wood Board, Furniture Wood Board, Decoration Wood Board, Poplar Wood Board, etc.
Anyone who has ever tried to light a fire knows that there are two types of wood: softwoods and hardwoods. For fires, hardwoods will burn hotter and longer—important factors when you're trying to ward off the chill—while softwoods will ignite more easily so it makes excellent kindling. Softwoods are the source of about 80% of the world’s lumber so when we talk about wood, more often than not, we're talking about softwoods. These woods include cedars, Douglas firs, cypresses, firs, junipers, kauris, larches, pines, hemlocks, redwoods, spruces, and yews. The wood from these trees tends to be more malleable. However, the softwood/hardwood division is not concrete: some softwoods are harder than some hardwoods. The Douglas fir and the yew listed above, for example, are actually mechanically harder than several hardwoods. In general, softwoods tend to be far less expensive in comparison to hardwoods and are used more frequently in construction.
Wood has played an important role in the history of civilization. Humans have used it for fuel, building materials, furniture, paper, tools, weapons, and more. These Wooden Crafts are also regarded as something great for Fitness and Fitness Equipment.
Strong states and nations have typically had access to a generous timber supply that they draw upon liberally to further their own development. These fortunate states have followed a similar pattern in the treatment of their lumber resources. First, they use their own virgin forests. Then they begin to barter with neighbors, and trade relations may be established for that purpose. Finally, they manage to cultivate timber for consumption, but may continue to import materials to supplement their stores from countries still possessing a lumber surplus. This is the story in the lumber trade that echoes over centuries, from India to the Americas. It perpetuates a cycle of diminished resources that often leaves behind a trail of disenchantment and bitterness between industry and the citizens of the state or nation.
Even as developing nations cut the softwoods under their control to participate in the global trade of this resource, it should be noted that the areas where these trees grow would be cleared in the course of development. In an ideal relationship, lumber trade should feed capital back into the nation to assist in sustained-yield practices. However, demand usually outstrips production—both internally and externally.
Logging itself depletes forest stocks before they can be replenished. Regulated timber harvesting should not permanently damage the forest, but in many smaller nations, timber extraction is not monitored. And as mentioned previously, without proper support any state management program is bound to fail—sustained-yield practices require support from local groups to be effective.

What's the Benefits of Arcade Game?
An arcade game is a machine that became popular in the mid-late 20th century. They can be found in public places such as malls, amusement arcades, game shops, restaurants and other places. They are usually video games, pinball machines, and electromechanical games. The late 1970s through the 1980s witnessed a surge in these arcade games as various games and brands were continuously produced to cater to the ever-increasing demand for the machines and the gaming experience that they offer. In the early 1990s, these games also enjoyed some level of popularity and only started dwindling in popularity with the advent of console gaming and Personal Computer games.
So What Are Some Of The Benefits Of Arcade Games
Arcade games have been known to improve cognitive abilities, help your reflexes, reduce stress, and can even aid in cutting cravings to increase weight loss.
The arcade games are usually short levels in which difficulty levels increase at a rapid speed, and have simple and intuitive controls. Arcade Games have a focus on the gameplay rather than on the content or story behind the games. These games were addictive for a lot of people and they kept coming back for a more fun experience. To play the arcade game, customers usually pay a little sum like 10 to 50 cents for a game session. Some arcade centers offer discounts on multiple sessions to keep their customer loyalty up. Although arcade games have suffered their share of criticism, mostly for its addictive nature, it had (and still has) some benefits.
Arcade gaming has been said to have amazing health benefits for children and adults alike. Some of the benefits of arcade gaming may include the following:
Arcade Games Improve Cognitive Abilities
Arcade gaming even at its most basic level requires multitasking, which is a quick and effective decision making ability and so on. A lot of times during gameplay, the player is forced to make split second decisions, and follow up closely on such decisions. Whether you make the direct decisions all the time or not, the ability to make quick decisions will be developed over time in the brain. This is why arcade games and arcade machines are considered beneficial and beyond just entertainment.
Arcade Games Improve Reflexes And Muscle Memory
If you are using the complex controllers that come with Arcade Game Machine or the simple joy stick style controllers arcade games, the more games you play, the better developed your muscle memory becomes. As a result of this muscle memory, you will be able to develop and improve on your reflexes, as well as hand-to-eye coordination which can be useful in your daily life for driving, typing and many more activities. It has even been shown by studies that professions that require fine motor skills, like a surgeon, have seen gamers outperform their non-gaming counterparts by a large margin. This is another reason why the arcade game is a good investment.
Arcade Games Reduce Stress And Depression Levels
If you feel tired or stressed out over something, a little time in front of an arcade game will definitely do a lot to reduce your stress level, maybe even completely remove your stress if you play the game long enough. Studies have also shown and proven that gamers that suffer from anxiety or depression usually showed notable improvement in their condition after playing a video or arcade game. There are even games that have been developed by health professionals specifically to cater to stressed, anxious and depressed patients.
And there are lots of kinds of Game Machine for Arcade Game like Coin Operated Game Machine, Redemption Game, Prize Redemption Game and Ticket Redemption Game Machine.

Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure
The Challenges
In recent years the problems of "range anxiety" associated with electric vehicles (EVs) have been alleviated by the introduction hybrids (HEVs) and plug in hybrids (PHEVs) and the development of higher energy density batteries capable of storing more energy in the same space. With the increasing popularity of electric vehicles, "range anxiety" is now being replaced by "charging anxiety". This page addresses the issues associated with providing suitable EV chargers like DC Ev Charger or AC EV Charger and the charging infrastructure necessary to support the growing population of EVs.
It takes about three minutes fill up a petrol or diesel engined car at a filling station with enough fuel to travel about 300 miles, costing about $35 in th USA and about £52 ($80) in the UK. To travel 300 miles in a small EV passenger car would need three full charges of a typical 25kWh battery used to power these vehicles costing about $2.50 per charge in the USA with electricity priced at $0.10 per unit (kWh) and £2.50 ($3.90) in the UK with electricity priced at £0.10 per unit. The low energy cost is one of the attractions of owning an EV. Unfortunately to put the 25 kWh of energy needed to travel each 100 miles into the battery in the same time (1 minute) that the equivalent amount of diesel fuel is pumped into the tank would require a power supply capable of delivering a power of 1.5 MegaWatts. To put this into perspective, 25 kWh is the amount of energy an average household consumes in a whole day. Providing electrical distribution facilities to allow users to consume this amount of energy from the electricity grid in one minute is not practical and even if it was, no EV battery could accept energy at this rate. On the other hand neither is it practical to take 24 hours to charge the battery in a passenger electric vehicle.
The solutions don't just involve the development of chargers, they involve the design and roll out of a network of public and private charging stations with associated user authentication and billing systems, public safety and planning issues, the negotiation of international standards and beefing up the electricity grid to carry the increased load. There are no single answers to these issues. On the one hand, national and international standards organisations attempt to find definitive solutions to these issues, but there are so many competing national standards. On the other hand commercial enterprises attempt to leapfrog the competition by coming up with new and unique innovative solutions to differentiate their offerings.
Except for EV Charger, another indispensable part for EV is EV Connectors. At the heart of any specialist electric vehicle, such as hybrid trucks and electric construction vehicles, are its connectors. Connectors ensure power is distributed reliably throughout every electrical system, from the battery to the powertrain, to dashboard electronics and other specialist equipment. They also help in the event of faults, allowing operational systems to keep functioning in the case of a singular system failure.
The National Grid in the United Kingdom is anticipating a huge demand increase for power when 100% EVs make up a significant portion of British road traffic. Even in the immediate future, power demand is expected to ramp up as more non-passenger vehicles begin to electrify.
The trend of electrification doesn't only apply to powertrains. New specialist vehicle designs are exploiting new technologies in safety & security, convenience, live driver insights, and even advanced body & chassis systems. Vehicles are about to become more connected, more useful, and even more frictionless to own and maintain.
Connectors are able to improve power deliverability and reliability, while they also ensure the systems can be maintained easily. Connectors are available in a variety of sizes, weights and specifications, DC EV Connectors, AC EV Connectors, High voltage connectors safely guarantee high voltages are distributed through powertrains, for example.
And if you want to finish EV charging, there are some other essiential parts that you can't missing. They are EV Charging Power Box, DC Charging Stacks and QR Code Payment System.

All cells require inorganic sulfate for normal function. Sulfate is among the most important macronutrients in cells and is the fourth most abundant anion in human plasma (300 μM). Sulfate is the major sulfur source in many organisms, and because it is a hydrophilic anion that cannot passively cross the lipid bilayer of cell membranes, all cells require a mechanism for sulfate influx and efflux to ensure an optimal supply of sulfate in the body. The class of proteins involved in moving sulfate into or out of cells is called sulfate transporters. And there are various of Sulfate may needed in our life, such as Potassium Sulphate, Magnesium Sulphate, Zinc Sulphate, Ammonium Sulphate, Manganese Sulphate, Ferrous Sulphate, Copper Sulphate, Diammonium Phosphate, Monoammonium Phosphate, Monopotassium Phosphate and so on.
To date, numerous sulfate transporters have been identified in tissues and cells from many origins. These include the renal sulfate transporters NaSi-1 and sat-1, the ubiquitously expressed diastrophic dysplasia sulfate transporter DTDST, the intestinal sulfate transporter DRA that is linked to congenital chloride diarrhea, and the erythrocyte anion exchanger AE1. These transporters have only been isolated in the last 10–15 years, and their physiological roles and contributions to body sulfate homeostasis are just now beginning to be determined. This review focuses on the structural and functional properties of mammalian sulfate transporters and highlights some of regulatory mechanisms that control their expression in vivo, under normal physiological and pathophysiological states.
Sulphate contributes to numerous processes in mammalian physiology, particularly during development. Sulphotransferases mediate the sulphate conjugation (sulphonation) of numerous compounds, including steroids, glycosaminoglycans, proteins, neurotransmitters and xenobiotics, transforming their biological activities. Importantly, the ratio of sulphonated to unconjugated molecules plays a significant physiological role in many of the molecular events that regulate mammalian growth and development.
In humans, the fetus is unable to generate its own sulphate and therefore relies on sulphate being supplied from maternal circulation via the placenta. To meet the gestational needs of the growing fetus, maternal blood sulphate concentrations double from mid-gestation. Maternal hyposulphataemia has been linked to fetal sulphate deficiency and late gestational fetal loss in mice. Disorders of sulphonation have also been linked to a number of developmental disorders in humans, including skeletal dysplasias and premature adrenarche. While recognised as an important nutrient in mammalian physiology, sulphate is largely unappreciated in clinical settings. In part, this may be due to technical challenges in measuring sulphate with standard pathology equipment and hence the limited findings of perturbed sulphate homoeostasis affecting human health.
The sulfate ion in clinical medicine has been regarded as an end metabolite of cysteine and methionine, both sulfur-containing amino acids. Sulfate has been associated with an increase in body acidity and has been shown to lead to a drop in fluid osmolarity of body fluids. Despite the fact that sulfate itself does not possess a catalytic function or a role in human energy metabolism, there is outstanding evidence to suggest that sulfate is not a metabolically inert molecule and that it plays a key function in life.
The Sulfate Ion, Sulfate Formation, and Homeostasis
The sulfate ion is the oxidized form of the 16th element of the Periodic Table, sulfur (S6+), which is surrounded tetrahedrally by four oxygen molecules (O2?) forming the divalent anion SO2?4. In nature, sulfate is an inorganic molecule belonging to the group VI oxyanions, which includes other structurally similar members such as selenate, molybdate, tungstate, and chromate. It is an important anion involved in many physiological processes, having numerous biosynthetic and pharmacological functions. Sulfate is involved in a variety of activation and detoxification processes of many endogenous (including glycosaminoglycans, cerebrosides, steroids, catecholamines) and exogenous (acetaminophen, isoproterenol, ibuprofen, salicylate, α-methyldopa) compounds.

What Is A Terminal Block?
How do we connect two wires? By stripping the insulation at the ends and twisting them together? Yes, it works. But, is it safe? We can apply insulation tape over the joint or use a wire connector. But what if there are a number wires that need to be joint/connected near each other? Or, what if multiple outgoing wires are to be connected to a single incoming wire? Then this method will neither be safe nor be convenient anymore. Here we use terminal blocks.
What Is A Terminal Block?
A terminal block (also called as connection terminal or terminal connector) is a modular block with an insulated frame that secures two or more wires together. It consists of a clamping component and a conducting strip. A typical simplest terminal block is as shown in the image below.
The insulating body of a terminal block houses a current carrying element (a metal strip or terminal bar). It also provides a base for clamping element. The body has a mounting arrangement so that the block can be easily mounted on or unmounted from a PCB or a mounting rail. Most terminal blocks are usually modular and mounted on DIN rail. That allows us to increase the number of terminals according to the requirements. Terminal blocks keep connections much more secure and wires well organized.
Types Of Terminal Blocks
Electrical terminal blocks can be classified on the basis of structure, device type, termination options, etc.
Structure Type
Single level pass-through terminal blocks: These are simply used to connect two wires together, i.e. wire-to-wire connection. These are also called as single feed terminal blocks. Single level terminal blocks are of the most simple type having one input contact and one output contact.
Dual level terminal blocks: These blocks have another level of connection terminal stacked on the first one. This arrangement is generally used to save space.
Three level terminal blocks: Just like dual level blocks, these have an extra level at the top. An advantage of using multilevel blocks is that multiple connections can be made in the same block.
- Ground Terminal Block
These blocks often look like a single level feed through terminals. The exception is that these blocks and the metal connection where the wire is terminated are grounded to the panel or DIN rail on which the block is mounted.
- Fused Connection Terminals
These are similar to the pass-through blocks with an exception of the metal connection strip is replaced with a fuse. Therefore, the wires will be connected through a fuse providing an added protection.
- Thermocouple Terminal Blocks
These are designed to accept thermocouple lead connections. Some thermocouple connectors essentially clamp the thermocouple leads together on both sides of the block, eliminating the metal connection strip inside the block. However, in some thermocouple blocks, the metal connection strip of the same metal as that of the wire may be present.
There are also other kinds of Terminal Blocks like Screw Mounting Terminal Block, EK Ground Terminal Block, Push In Terminal Blocks, Terminal Fixing Block, etc. And except Terminal Blocks, other Terminal Accessories are needed for a Terminal, such as Terminal Bridge, Terminal Block End Cover, Terminal Marker Strip and Terminal Marker Carrier

Electric scooters have become quite popular over the past decades. Some people are even fond of Stunt Scooters. They are quite easy to use and can therefore be a suitable alternative to conventional means of transport, especially in big cities and for short distances. Although E-Scooters have plenty of advantages, they also imply serious issues. In this article, the pros and cons of electric scooters are examined.
E-Scooters can be quite convenient
One advantage of electric scooters is that they are a quite convenient tool to get around. You can start your journey within seconds and after you got to your destination, you can simply park it at a nearby parking space. Thus, especially if you no other options to get around since you are too young to drive, E-Scooters may be a perfect alternative for you.
Don't need a driver's license
Since you do not need a driver's license for electric scooters in many countries of our planet, they are suitable for most people. Compared to the use of cars, there are no high costs for getting a driver's license and therefore, Adult Electric Scooter may also be affordable to use for the poor fraction of the local population.
Easy to use
Driving a motorized Adult Scooter isn't more difficult than riding a bike. Thus, the big majority of people will be able to learn how to use electric scooters in a rather short period of time. This makes it also quite tempting for teenagers and even for older children to use those scooters as an alternative to walking or to using their bicycles.
Greenhouse gas emission savings
Another upside of electric scooters is that they can save plenty of greenhouse gas emissions compared to the use of cars. Even though electric scooters do not emit greenhouse gases while driving, there is still a certain amount of greenhouse gas emissions related to the use of E-Scooters since a high fraction of the electricity that is used for electric scooters is still produced with the help of fossil fuels. Thus, although greenhouse gas emissions from the use of electric scooters are not zero, they are still far lower compared to other means of transport like cars or motorbikes.
No air pollution
The use of E-Scooters is also quite good for improving our air quality. Especially in big cities where there is often a big smog problem in commuting hours, electric scooters could lower this problem since fewer cars have to be used if more people go to work by electric scooters. This could vastly improve our overall health level since the number of diseases related to air pollution like pulmonary and cardiovascular issues could be lowered.
Except the good side, there are also some disadvantages existing.
Electric scooters may increase number of accidents
Since there is no driver's license required when it comes to the use of electric scooters, chances are that the number of traffic accidents will increase. Many people, especially if they are young, might underestimate the speed and the dangers related to the use of E-Scooters. Thus, electric scooters could contribute to a significant increase in serious traffic accidents.
E-Scooters may be left behind everywhere
Another big problem with electric scooters is that they are left behind everywhere. Even in parks, E-Scooters can be found on a regular basis. Since there is a lack of regulation in many cities regarding the proper parking of electric scooters, there is plenty of visual pollution from those scooters, which may decrease the quality of life for many people. Thus, there should be stricter regulations and fines in place so that people are more careful where they park their scooters, especially when it comes to scooter-sharing models.
Overcharging and other battery issues
The batteries of electric scooters have to be recharged on a regular basis. If people forget to charge their scooter battery, they might get in trouble. This might be especially true when people are driving with their electric scooter on the street and suddenly, the scooter will stop due to a lack of battery power. This may lead to serious accidents if the cars behind you are not able to react properly.

Sin flopped back on his bed, rubbing his temples from the headache building up from all the unpacking he'd been doing. His room was at least set up the way he wanted it, or at least his side was. His roommate was off with his parents, so Sin had taken his chance to set his stuff up and relax. He knew he had a meeting with the team later, but he tried to put that out of his mind as he thought back to the Heir meeting the night before. "This is gonna be interesting..."
Inanna was sitting in her room, having already gotten all her stuff set up. Not having a roommate meant she could use magic for it, and she was already plugged into her gaming rig. She sat back and relaxed, listening to her team chatting about their own adventures.
Gilgamesh was down in one of the college's many scattered dining halls, enjoying the Hogwarts style room as he relaxed. Classes would be starting in a few days, and he was taking the chance to relax before things started to get wild.

He hadn't spoken in what felt like ages; there had been little need, since finding his way into the woodlands, chased by the nipping bites of a strong spring shower. Here, where civilization had yet to gain a foothold, he had no need for words, accompanied only by the soft symphony of sounds that came from a pittance of passing moments, waking, living, sleeping; a never-ending pattern that was interrupted only by encountering creatures who had no other interest in him then to determine if he was prey or predator. Even now, his hands were hesitant to touch the throbbing pain, wedged between his ribs like a kink that refused to soothe out; a muscle pulled taunt from his encounter with wolves who thought he might make a tasty morsel. It had long stopped bleeding, had already begun to knit back together, leaving little more than angrily raised bumps against pale skin. A few more days, and it would no longer be a bother at all. And then, he supposed, he'd have to find a new place to wander.
<p>
There was nothing keeping him here, nothing that whispered to the ache in his chest, a string pulled taut forever tempting his feet into motion. It still pulled, that desire to discover his forgotten past, to find answers in the dark that otherwise laid thick and cloying in his senses, stealing dreams and leaving nothing but to questions with far too few answers. Koimata had encountered others in his self-imposed quest, dragons and wraiths, demons and angels; some seemed to recognize him, taking some strange humor from his presence but offered little when he dared ask why, until he had finally just stopped asking.

Drawing his hand away from its soft caress at his side, only to slide it carelessly through his hair, drawing out leaves from monochrome tresses, he made for the lake that stood at the edge of the forest and the adjacent town. Night was well under way, the coolness of the dark stealing away the humidity that clung to his skin, drawing the kitsune from his bed burrowed in betwixt the clutch of grand roots. The dark crept up along the sides of the path, here where the light of the moon could barely pass through dense foilage, drawing soft ruby eyes, until once again he passed his hand forward, sparking orbs of glowing wisps. Watching them bob, a slow smile touched his face, <b>"Hurry along now,"</b> he beckoned, casting them out like fae amongst the summer leaves.</div></div></div>
