We try to keep a literate forum, but we accept all levels! It fluctuates between members where some will only write a few sentence while others can write multiple paragraphs. We have no word count and only ask that members provide enough for their partners to be able to reply to. If you are not the best at writing, there are more than enough members who are willing to help you grow and try to improve. That is part of the roleplaying experience right?

It’s multiple characters for one account! (typically the name you prefer to be called) This allows us keep organization and keep members from having to log out just to do a reply.

We have a shop that allows for members to buy special items that can enhance their characters such as immortality, shape shifting, etc. We also have available species that are normally considered rare that can be bought to create through here for gold.

The site currency is in gold. There are numerous ways to obtain it, but the easiest way is by posting of course! We have a system in place where you gain more gold the more you post. Other ways to obtain it are by games hosted by staff and contests. If you want to sell something like your own artwork or tables for characters, you can set up a little shop under the Art Corner and charge people in gold!

You may! Staff never limits people hosting contest on the site as long as it's’ fair and no one feels excluded. Just make sure it falls within rules of site. :)

At the moment, you cannot physically do it yourself. However, if you are interested in changing your name just message Achera.

No. We consider ourselves 17+ due to the nature of some of the content. However, because sexual scenes are possible we monitor members and threads that contain it. Threads that have nudity, heavy petting, etc. must be labelled as [M]. Threads that involve the actual act or anything sexual must be labelled as [E].

Note: It is illegal to partake in sexual threads with minors. Due to this, we monitor to make sure those who choose to be involved in this kind of material must be 18+.

If you are having issues with another member, talk to staff. We do not want anyone to feel uncomfortable on the board that they cannot enjoy it. If you are having issues with a staff member, talk to either Andromeda or Achera.

Not at all! Members are allowed to choose whichever way they wish to depict their characters whether it be through custom art, face claims, or simply text!

No. Unfortunately, most of the first generation creatures have long since died. The world of Antarsia was a lot crueler and harsher than it is now as there were raging wars. The world is extremely old compared to when these guys first appeared, so they no longer exist.

No, royals are plot positions that can be applied for as head of the house or an oracle. If the line is already claimed, the head of the house has to approve the relation to their own character as well as a staff member. These positions are limited and thus we must restrict their creation.

No these are limited and often are time released. We will be releasing them at key events so go ahead and get your app ready! They are only open for a short period of time and once it goes live post it there and apply for one.

Create your character first and then your plot position app with your character linked to it. That way staff can review them together. We want to be able to see what the character is like, as well as what your ideas are for them so we can get a better picture.

Well no- sadly the gods are set for the site. You can make a character that is ACTING as a god to certain people, but they will never be a true god nor recognized as such.

Again, no. The gods are controlled by staff and are not supposed to be able to exist in the world without using an oracle to move around. It is extremely hard for a demi-god to be born and like most other things, they are restricted.

No! The alignment is a generalization that is found in the species. It refers to what is most commonly found, but by no means sets their alignment in stone. If a species has a good alignment, they can still be evil and vice versa. Neutral means they can go either way, or remain neutral!

We typically allow everything, but the restriction is more on how powerful you make it. We monitor to make sure characters are not overpowered or god-modding. That being said, you cannot have powers that can control another player without their permission.

If you have a character that can controls minds and you’re writing with someone, they must express permission for that to be done to their character. You must also write at the bottom out of character (ooc) that you have permission. Similarly, these kind of powers are extremely powerful so mind control would work better on less sentient creatures and be extremely difficult/draining on more intellectual individuals.

Nope! These weapons are formed of their raw power, which can only be accessed while in their true form, when their full power is unleashed. All other forms simply cannot contain that much raw energy. The weapon will slowly fade as the demon's power runs out, only able to maintain a physical form as long as the demon can stay within a certain threshold of power. The weapon will also change over time as the demon's essence or soul changes as well.

No, the gods typically do not just appear. While we may have them appear once in awhile for fun things, for the most part they will be items of worship more so them actually interfering. Any god(s) events that happen will be approved by staff as admins are the only ones that are allowed to directly play these gods.

Well that’s hard to do considering the gods would have to first be in the world, care about what you’re doing, and third actually die. Gods on Antarsia do not actually die. They kinda reform after a ‘death’ and go back to their default personality which they had upon their ‘birth’ and before they became so independent with such different ideals. So actually killing one isn’t something that would be easy nor really possible unless you kill the oracle when they’re possessing it.

Well this isn’t really a question, but hey staff is more then happy to have someone host a site wide plot as long as they’re active and dedicated. :) Just run it by staff and we’ll see if we can work something out!

Yes. There are cities and towns all over Antarsia. We only list the major ones so people have an idea of how the world is structured.

Of course! What he have when we’re looking to add a town/city/landmark is this basic form below. Just fill it out and put it in the suggestions thread on the forum. The form is only needed if you want to have it recognized on the map! If you want to create it, but not be placed on there, then go for it! Just let staff know.
